OCTOBER 2025

“Your highest form of currency moving forward is going to be you.
Unfiltered
Unapologetic
Without consensus
You.”
– Dene Logan
ALL HALLOWS’ EVE
“There is no going forward without a death of some kind: a death of who we thought we were and were supposed to be; a death of a map of the world we thought worthy of our trust and investment; a death of expectations that by choosing rightly we could avoid suffering.”
– James Hollis
Welcome October!
Do you love the changing of seasons as much as I do? It feeds my soul! I LOVE the changing colors, the cool crisp fall air, the stirring of something deeper, darker calling me from beyond. Showing me in the leaves drifting off the trees that it’s ok to let go of old ideas, things that don’t fit for me anymore. The earth reminds me it’s ok to slow down, turn in earlier as the sun dips beyond the horizon a little earlier each night.
The hummingbirds have left. They know to move to warmer climates where flowers still create nectar. The squirrels are hard at work gathering and storing for the cold to come. What do you feel being called to do? Is there a stirring to eat pumpkin and spice? (Or is that just creative marketing working on you?)
Do you feel drawn to move at a different pace? Respond a little less fast to things? I invite you to spend time in the quiet of your mind and heart and feel what it is you are being called to do / not do / let go of or remove from your current space?
This month we celebrate All Hallows’ Eve that is a night to remember the dead, honor them, remember who they were here and cherish who they are still in spirit. This day in history was a time of harvest. A time to Celebrate and give thanks for the bounty shared by the earth. Do you do that for the good in your life? While walking at a farmers’ market? Do you give thanks for what has been created, grown, cultivated for your enjoyment and nourishment? Most of us don’t farm or grow most of what we eat. I invite you to give thanks in your mind, through thought or prayer for the bounty at your door. Make time this month to give thanks for what has been given, what is easily bought or accessed. Say thank you by name to anyone serving you that has a name tag on. Be a little more present to those sharing in the harvest of good things in your life!
For Halloween as we most like to refer to the end of the month. Say your loved ones’ names. Speak of them, share fun stories, bring them with you on an adventure! Then for the sake of your love and how you are navigating your loss give something that feels meaningful in their name. It may be some of your time, a small gift that reminds you of them to someone who is also grieving, perhaps it is sending a meal to someone who is having a tough life event. Find a way to give something in their honor, feel the spirit of goodness it brings to you.
Mental Health Moment:
“Your Mental Health is everything – Prioritize it.
Make the time like your life depends on it, because it does.”
-Mel Robins
October tenth is world mental health day. Mental Health matters. Take care of your mind. Make sure you are ok. If you are then see if you can find someone who may need you to be with them while they navigate a challenge or difficult circumstance.
Sometimes all it takes to help lift another is for them to know they are not alone.
Remember national resources like 988, local mental health clinics and resources are available in every city. I found several mental health daily calendars online. Do a search, find one you like and pick something each day to help keep your mind right!

All my best,
Genna
